Description of the Old Orchard Beach vacation House Rental 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 12 Sleeps


 This is a nice 4 B/R Cape with 2 baths with showers (no tubs); one on the 1st floor and one the 2nd floor. This is only about a 4 minute walk to the beach (est.) & about 5-8 minute to walk to the pier in Old Orchard. This house offers  a nice deck and outside shower, smaller yard, and window fans are provided. Home has cable TV, DVD, dishwasher, microwave, new patio set & new gas BBQ grille, washer/dryer. Please note living room is very small but kitchen is large. There is be seating in the living room for 5-6 people. Large kitchen. BED SETUP: 1st floor bedroom has 1 queen; 3 bedrooms on 2nd floor.  Bedroom #2 has 1 full + a futon to sleep 2 more; 3rd bedroom (walk thru one) has a set of bunk beds, (2 twin mattresses); 4th bedroom has 1 full.  Home will sleep 8 in beds; 10with futon. You do need to walk thru the 2nd bedroom to access the 3rd bedroom. Also, owners are able to pick up a wireless internet signal from the house.  Bring your laptop if you want (no guarantee but it should work - did for them and the prior owners). There is parking for 2 cars in driveway, more on street.   Pets allowed with pre-approval. $1,600/wk.

Area Information :

Old Orchard has a beautiful beach called Grand Beach. The best in the State of Maine. There are gift shops, eateries, amusements, an arcade & the famous Pier at Old Orchard Beach. Amtrak runs trains from Boston to Portland daily with stops in Saco year round and in Old Orchard during summer season. Saco & Old Orchard are adjacent towns. 

 

Scarborough (Pine Point) is adjacent to Old Orchard Beach.

 

Saco & Old Orchard exits are #36 on the Maine Turnpike and are half way between Kittery & Freeport for outlet shopping; 20 minutes to South Portland to a major mall and 20 minutes to Portland. There are also many shops along Rte. 1 for antique stuff between Wells & Scarborough. The Old Port is at the waterfront with shops.

Amtrack Downeaster from Boston stops in Saco and in Old Orchard several times daily.
