St. Joe Beach/Beacon Hill
All the great things about Mexico Beach apply to St. Joe Beach and Beacon Hill with a couple of added benefits. Once you cross the line from Mexico Beach into Beacon Hill you’re a breed apart (arf arf). You’re now in the pet friendly beaches of Gulf County, so bring your pet(s) and their favorite toys and enjoy a run on the beach or a splash in the surf. Leashes are required. Waste bags are located conveniently up and down the beach, so please be respectful of others and keep the beach clean so we can continue to enjoy pet friendly beaches.
Two of the best times to visit the beach is spring and fall when you can bask in the sun all day without being in the heat of summer and then at night the temperature drops into the very pleasant low sixties; perfect for enjoying a relaxing bonfire on the beach which is allowed in Gulf County. So bring your hotdogs, marsh mellows and a guitar and gather around the bonfire for some good old fashion fun and great memories. |
