Treasure Beach is a series of small fishing villages along a string of bays: Great Bay, Calabash Bay, Frenchman’s Bay, Billy’s Bay and Fort Charles. It is off the beaten track on Jamaica's South Coast.
The beaches in Treasure Beach are everything from sandy beaches, private coves, and rocky shorelines. GREAT BAY BEACH is the longest, sandiest beach on the South Coast with several villas and cottages having direct beach access.Pedro Bluff can be reached from Great Bay beach by following the tracks used by fishermen and goats starting around Calabash Bay.
Treasure Beach is known as the desert coast of Jamaica because it has the least amount of rainfall on the island. The closer you get to Treasure Beach the more you see flat plains with fields of low scrub grass, cacti (some reaching several feet tall), acacia trees, and lignum vitae trees.
