Our newly renovated family-friendly home by the Merced River's South Fork (Actually IN Yosemite) is beautiful in every season. Spend evenings on the deck BBQing on a gas grill & relaxing under the stars in the hot tub. Enjoy a hike to nearby Chilnualna Falls, or follow the many trails which lead throughout Yosemite's 1000+ sq. miles. Snowshoe, snowboard or ski at Badger Pass, see Yosemite Valley & the Giant Redwoods, eat at the historic Wawona Hotel or play golf there, go horseback riding, or visit the Living History Center. Our home, Friend's Lodge, is minutes by foot from Chilnualna Falls trailhead, and the confluence of Chilnualna Falls Creek -runs just beyond our backyard- and the Wild & Scenic South Fork of the Merced River. Wawona is a terminus of two major Yosemite trail heads. Chilnualna Falls trailhead will lead you to exquisite and isolated swimming holes carved out of the rock, and the high country, beyond. The Swinging bridge is a pleasant and easy walk away from Friend's Lodge. Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, 6 miles, Wawona Horse Stables (2 miles), Pioneer Village (2 miles), Glacier Point (26 miles), Badger Pass Skiing (20 miles), Wawona Tunnel -Inspiration Point views of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls (26 miles)

Friends Lodge is about 1 1/2 hours North of Fresno. Pickup Route 41 North and proceed out of Fresno, through Oakhurst and Fish Camp to the South Gate of Yosemite National Park. Turn left af the gate and proceed about 8 miles to the town of Wawona. Our home is just across the river. Turn right on Chilnualna Falls Road and proceed to Van Campen way.
