1. Go rafting on the famous Arkansas River
2. There are two very interesting mining museums in town.
3. There is a wonderful new bike path that winds it’s way through the old mining district
and old abandoned mines on The Mineral Belt Trail.
4. Visit the Tabor Opera House where Broadway shows with the likes of Houdini used to perform in Leadvilles heyday.
5. Visit Baby Does mine, a story in itself for you to discover.
6. Visit the beautiful Turquiose Lake, where you can hike, fish, camp, swim if you dare,or simply drive around.
7. Take a drive over the spectacular Independence Pass which is only open in the summer and will bring you to the Town of Aspen.
8. Play in the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs just outside of the town of Buena Vista.
9. Go for a 4-wheel drive tour along the Continental Divide.
10. Explore or fish the Beaver Ponds and Huts across the street from the Buckeye’s Cabin on the Arkansas headwaters
11. Take a drive to Vail and ride the Gondola to the top of the mountain where Adventure Ridge awaits.
12. Read a good book while relaxing in the cabin.
