Welcome to Kailua, on Oahu, one of the Conde Naste Top 10 beaches in the world.
We are in Enchanted Lake, about 11 blocks, a 3 min. drive to Kailua beach, 3 miles of the world's most beautiful white sand. Another five minute drive will take you to Lanikai beach with a great view of the famous Mokulua Islands (Mokes for short). This is a active neighborhood for 1-2 mellow people, max.
We are located on the windward side of Oahu, where the trade winds originate. We are just 20 minutes from Honolulu and 35 min. to Waikiki, Diamond Head, the Aquarium and the Zoo.
This studio suite is a part of our home with its own private entrance and spacious bathroom. Towels, beach towels and linens are provided.
There is a queen bed, microwave, small hotel refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, coffee maker, & toaster.

There is kayaking, boogie boarding, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, snorkeling, beachcombing at the beach. Kayak rentals are on the way to the beach. There is hiking up nearby Maunawili Falls or the Nuuanu Pali.
It's fun to walk, jog, or hike all around Kailua, around the lake or the Kawainui Marsh, a preservation area for birds and wildlife.
The famous big waves of North Shore is just 30 minutes away on a beautiful ocean drive. Hanauma Bay for snorkeling is just 20 min. away. There is hiking up nearby Maunawili Falls or the Nuuanu Pali.

Shops include Macy's, Longs Drugs, Bookends (new and used books),Pier 1, Antique stores, Safeway, Boutiques and Blockbuster.
Besides books, the public library even has movies you can borrow.

Honolulu city is a 20 min. drive to famous Aloha Tower, Ala Moana Shopping center, Bishop Museum (Hawaiian artifacts), Honolulu Academy of Arts & Doris Duke's "Shangri La" mansion. We also have theatres, the symphony and the Opera (in season).

Get a hiking book if you're adventurous. Or, go with the Hawaii Trail and Mountain Club or Sierra Club on weekends. Or, Sole Mates on Wednesdays. Olomana Mt. (advanced), Maunawili Falls, Pali hairpin turn, Lanikai pillbox by Midpacific Country Club, and Kawainui marsh walking trail are right in Kailua. We even have an ancient Hawaiian heiau (sacred site) in Kailua.
Kailua recreation center in Kailua town has a public olympic size pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, skateboard rink.
Local farmer's market nearby on Thursday mornings, 9-10am. Or a more upscale farmer's market with interesting local products good for gifts/souvenirs, Thurs. 5-7pm, by Longs Drug Store. Hoomaluhia Botannical Garden in nearby Kaneohe for scenic mountains and foliage.
Pali, Luana Hills (like Jurassic Park), and Olomana Golf courses are in Kailua.
Luana Hills also has a wonderful Sunday brunch with scenic mountain views.
